One Month

So, I meant to write this post on LC's one month birthday, but now its her two month birthday, and here I am.  She's been keeping us very busy, and somehow she knows exactly when I get settled in with the computer and am just about to start writing, and then she wakes up/cries/squeals/gives me her wide eye Mommy play with me look/etc.  But here's a quick update of what was going on around her 1 month birthday...

Sara and Allison, two of my most creative and crafty friends, gave us the idea of taking a photo of LC each month next to a soccer ball, so we can see how much she's growing.  Trevor and I were trying to figure out what she should wear for this picture, and we came up with the idea of making her a custom one month onesie.  And of course, knowing the two of us, we turned it into a bit of a competition, and we each made one.  Here's what we came up with:
Jessica's Creation
Trevor's Creation
Trevor's was an awesome replica of the US Women's National Team jersey, and mine was a bit more cutesy.    LC was not quite sure what to make of the outfit changes, the photo shoot, and the big pink ball.  Annabelle, on the other hand, was very excited about the soccer ball and was pushing it around the house with her nose.  Maybe we should have gotten her a soccer ball sooner?

As you can see from the photos, LC has been growing quite a bit, and she's a long baby.  Her little legs are starting to get a bit chunky at the top, and its so cute.  She is also starting to be more alert and she will look directly at us or at an object and focus on it.  Her favorites are black and white pictures of a bee and one that looks like a tic tac board.

Here's a picture of LC in what we like to call "the happiest place in the house."

For some reason, she absolutely loves to hang out on her changing table.  She will lay there and stare at the polka dots, the pink wall, the ceiling, whatever.  If she's fussy, and not much else is working, I have resorted to putting her on the changing the table, and it will calm her down, at least for a little while.  That is what happened in the picture above - she wouldn't sleep and was fussing.  We took her to the happiest place in the house, and that's what happened....

Here she is in the bassinet of her pack & play.  This is what she has slept since she came home from the hospital, and she has officially outgrown it.  Her little legs have gotten too long, and she was kicking the edge of it.  She looks so sweet and cozy all snuggled up in her bassinet.  I am already missing seeing her sleeping there.

She's now sleeping in the regular part of the pack & play, but we're working on her taking naps in her crib since we're planning on moving her into her room soon.  She looks so small in her big crib!

Another first this month was feeding her from a bottle for the first time.  I think Trevor was more nervous about it than she was.  She's quite a little eater, so she had no problem with the bottle.

And her first bath in the bathtub.  Thank you Stacy & Marc for this awesome little tub - she loves bathtime.

A few other of my favorites from this month...
