For the past few months, we've been asking LC what kind of birthday party she would like to have. Trevor and I both assumed Elmo was a clear winner, but Thomas the Train, AKA "Tommy Choo Choo," was quickly becoming a favorite and that was her answer every time. So, we celebrated two amazing years with friends, family, and lots of trains.
We decided to surprise LC and have a train at her party that she and her friends could ride through the neighborhood. For one afternoon, East Arlington was turned into the island of Sodor. While there was no truck shunting or freight hauling, Leo at
All American Train Rides made it fun for everyone. We had been to a party a few months ago with this same train and LC loved it; plus, she loves the train at the zoo, so naturally this seemed like a great idea. She was very excited when the train arrived and we were all aboard...

| All aboard for fun... |
But once it started moving, her excitement changed to panic pretty quickly. She clung to me the entire train ride saying "all done train!" over and over. We tried a few more times, but she was happier in the backyard with bubbles and bouncy balls. Of course, a few hours after the party, she started asking to go on the train again....

| Wait...this thing moves??? Not cool. |
 |
| Come on ride that train... |
 |
| Much happier on Mommy |
Not surprisingly, the Tommy Choo Choo cake was a big hit, and she dove right in. While the cake was a huge hit, the Thomas cake toppers soon became a favorite.

| Milk break |
We all had a great time celebrating our incredible little two year old, and we are so thankful that so many of our friends and family were able to join us.
 |
| Family shot #1 turned out pretty well |
 |
| Family shot #2 (AKA, "Wait, LT is here?") wasn't as good |
 |
| Happy Birthday, LC!!! |
 |
| Yep. Happy Birthday to me... |
