LT is five weeks old today, and he is the perfect addition to our little family. Every day we get to know him a little bit better, and he is starting to wake up and be more alert. I have even caught a few smiles and 'talking' noises. Like his sister, he also loves his changing table and his Boppy. He also seems to enjoy being outside, which works out well since playing in the backyard is one of LC's favorite activities at the moment.
After a kind of rocky start, LT has become a great eater and he seems to grow every day. At his two week check-up he weighed 9lbs, 5ozs and had grown an inch to 21.5 inches. His hands and feet (especially his toes) are so big, we joke that he will be taller than Trevor by the 5th grade. And his wing span is pretty impressive; Trevor is already making plans for junior goalkeeper training.

Overall, he is such a sweet, easy going baby. He doesn't have the luxury of a quiet house or leisurely playing on a blanket in his room -- I'm constantly picking him up and moving around the house as we try to keep with LC. She has been working recently on her newly-discovered talent of screaming, so she feels the need to practice this lovely skill at random times throughout the day. So far, he seems to tolerate the mayhem, mostly by looking around and happily kicking his legs. There have definitely been a few days/nights when he was exceptionally cranky, but generally he has a great disposition.
We're still working on sleep, but he seems to be figuring out that night time is sleep time. We had to move him out of the bassinet after three weeks, and he's currently sleeping in the Pack & Play in our bedroom. We're planning moving him into his crib in the next couple of weeks, when hopefully he starts sleeping more than three hours at a time.

Trevor and I were originally planning on creating new onesies for LT each month like we did for LC. We figured we could get at least one done each month between the two of us. Well, that plan didn't work out the first month and I'm guessing time will be even more scarce in the coming months. Instead, we've decided to go with a simple date on the soccer ball.
LC is adjusting pretty well to having a little brother. As he starts to become more alert, she is becoming more interested him. After pretty much ignoring him completely the first few weeks, she will now give him hugs, pat his belly, comb his hair and try to play with him. She still has moments of jealousy and frustration, but most of the time she is a great big sister. LT loves looking at her; he'll turn his head towards her any time she's in the room. Hopefully they will continue enjoying each other's company for a while, I'm sure it won't be long before they're arguing with each other over something silly.
We are settling into being a family of four, and every day Trevor and I talk about how even though we are very sleep deprived and life is hectic, we are so incredibly lucky to have LC and LT in our life.
